Intimate Wedding Photography - Aaron + Kacie at Oaks Pioneer Church

This tiny church is one of my favorite places in Portland for a tiny wedding. It’s super small and intimate, but the stained glass, big chandeliers, and beautiful light streaming through the big windows make it feel very stately and grand. And Sellwood Park, only a short block away, always provides beautiful opportunities for lovely photos with the happy couple. So I was delighted when Aaron and Kacie called about photography for their small autumn wedding, and even more delighted to work with my lovely friend Maureen, their wedding officiant, after not seeing her in a long time.

We lucked out with some gorgeous weather, which was especially good considering our whirlwind timeline - I was with these two for only one short hour, including their beautiful ceremony! We made the most of our time together with a short trip to the park for some wedding portraits, and then hurried back to the church to make it official. As always, Officiant Maureen Haley’s steady, calming presence kept things on track, and she even made sure we had enough time to get some photos inside the church afterwards, which are always some of my favorites.

Congratulations, Aaron and Kacie! Thanks for making me a (short) part of your big day!
