Trillium Lake Engagement Photography

Trillium Lake Engagement Photography

I recently took a lovely sunset walk around Trillium Lake with Kyle and Kristin, taking some engagement photos to make a sign-in book for their upcoming wedding. They're fantastic wilderness guides - it was great fun when they pointed out fun flora and fauna along the way, and I'm super happy with the way the photos turned out! Stay tuned for more photography from their upcoming wedding...

So excited to share this beautiful Oregon Coast Engagement session! We almost rescheduled because the reports were predicting rain, but I’m so glad we didn’t – it turned out to be a gorgeous evening at Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach. Dramatic skies, a gorgeous sunset, a beautiful, happy couple and their darling puppy – these are the work days that keep me coming back for more!

Columbia River Gorge Engagement Photography

My first contact with Amber and Dave was something of a whirlwind: Amber booked me as their wedding photographer on Friday morning, and on Saturday afternoon we were meeting up at Rowena Crest to take their engagement photos! This turned out phenomenally well, since the timing was just right to catch these gorgeous wildflowers in the Columbia River Gorge. (I've done quite a few photo sessions at this very spot, but I've never seen it in bloom before. Such a treat!)

Portland Engagement Session

Portland Engagement Session

I’m so excited to photograph Becca + Sarah’s wedding later this month! When we met up at Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland last weekend to take some engagement photos we got to see a beautiful sunset, snuggled with their adorable pups, and generally had great fun. I’m so happy with the way the photos turned out! Stay tuned for more with this adorable couple.

This lovely couple drove all the way up to Portland from Eugene for a little engagement photography session in NoPo’s beautiful Cathedral Park, and I’m so glad they did! One of the things Signe and I had chatted about before the shoot was that she and Aaron are big readers, so they wanted to incorporate some books into the session. They brought along some beautifully-bound copies of a couple of their favorites and we had a little fun. The shots of them reading beneath the St. John’s Bridge are some of my favorites! Congratulations, you two, on your engagement and your graduations — best of luck with the big move and starting your life together! It sounds like it’s going to be epic.

Portland Waterfront Engagement Session

Portland Waterfront Engagement Session

I can’t get enough of the gorgeous golden-hour light from this recent Portland Waterfront engagement session. Liz and Zachary were so much fun to walk around and shoot with on the Eastbank Esplanade – not at all shy about being love-y or goofy or downright adorable – and even more dog-crazy than I am (I wasn’t sure it was possible, but it is). I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this month!

Portland Cathedral Park Engagement Session

Portland Cathedral Park Engagement Session

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately in beautiful Cathedral Park, under the iconic St. John’s Bridge in North Portland, and I can’t say I’m tired of it yet. Maybe it’s because every time I go there, there’s a beautiful new spot in bloom, or that I somehow hadn’t noticed before (like the lovely white flowers in the photo above), or maybe it’s because every time I visit I get to spend time with new lovely photography clients. It could also be the great light and that handsome bridge. At any rate, Meagan and Cody drove down from Seattle to visit their venue, taste some cake, and spend a couple hours with me and my camera in the lovely golden-hour light. I hope they had as much fun in their visit as I had shooting with them!

California Wine Country Engagement Session

California Wine Country Engagement Session

I’m still calling this an “engagement session,” even though it happened the evening before Audrey and Brandon’s wedding. It was the end of the first of two marathon days, after their welcome brunch and rehearsal, but before the wedding. These two were troopers though, even after we encountered the biggest rattlesnake that any of us had ever seen. Not only did we live to tell the tale, we got some beautiful photos of the two of them to show for it. Win!
