I’m a lucky photographer to have such amazing clients. I photographed her parents’ wedding last year and their maternity session earlier this year, and now I get to photograph beautiful baby Serena! I just love watching these families grow!

I love it when my wedding photography clients call me for maternity and baby sessions! So lovely to meet up with Adam and Anne at her family's vineyard where I photographed their wedding a year earlier. Hooray for adorable, growing families!
When I showed up for Lou’s second session in his “baby’s first year” package, his mom Gina informed me that he had declined to take his nap that morning. We were on borrowed time. Usually this spells disaster for a baby photo session, but not this day. Little Lou was so happy to see me! With his big smiles and curious, playful nature shining everywhere, we had a great time, and got some really adorable photos… Can’t wait for session #3!
My third and final post on the subject of Lauren + Jasper’s lovely Whidbey Island Wedding: their actual wedding photos! I loved their gorgeous ceremony site, on a bluff overlooking the sound, and the reception at the Roaming Radish was beautiful and delicious! Add to that lovely family and friends, a full moon rising over the reception, and a slew of amazing selfies, and you’ve got yourself a pretty amazing wedding. Congratulations, you two — I was honored to be a part of it all!
As far as I can tell, Jasper’s mom Kathy is the Martha Stewart of Whidbey Island. With plants and lights and flowers (not to mention a delicious dinner), she transformed her yard into a gorgeous rehearsal dinner venue the evening before Jasper and Lauren’s wedding. It looked so beautiful that I half-wondered if I hadn’t accidentally stumbled into the wedding reception.
Audrey and Brandon imported me all the way from Portland, OR to Glen Ellen, CA to photograph their lovely vineyard wedding at Jack London State Historic Park last month. I was so excited to be capturing my first (but hopefully not my last) California wedding, and I couldn’t have asked for a more heartfelt, beautiful one than theirs! It was a whirlwind couple of days, with their rehearsal lunch and brewery tour and engagement session on Friday, and then a full day of wedding fun on Saturday, but with all these gorgeous photos of these lovely people, it was totally worth it!
I’m still calling this an “engagement session,” even though it happened the evening before Audrey and Brandon’s wedding. It was the end of the first of two marathon days, after their welcome brunch and rehearsal, but before the wedding. These two were troopers though, even after we encountered the biggest rattlesnake that any of us had ever seen. Not only did we live to tell the tale, we got some beautiful photos of the two of them to show for it. Win!
When artists get married, their weddings are always especially beautiful. So it was with Amira and Noah’s lovely Oregon Coast wedding at Camp Magruder last September.
I first met Amira when she was a bridesmaid in Tim and Sylvie’s wedding in Minneapolis several summers ago. We all live in Portland, Oregon, but travelled to Minnesota for the wedding. Since then, I’ve worked with her several times, photographing her beautiful jewelry designs and making some environmental portraits to help promote her business. I was excited to photograph her wedding because I knew that she had great taste and the skills to translate her artist’s eye into very photogenic wedding. And she and her financé Noah didn’t disappoint!
