Anna was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed quite a few years ago now, and I was delighted to hear from her again last year when she called me to be her wedding photographer. We met in the middle of last winter's Snowpocalypse to take some very cold (but very beautiful) engagement photos at La Tourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, and I knew this was going to be a fun wedding. . .
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Jim and Rob's wedding celebration on the EcoTrust Roof in Portland, Oregon. These two have been together a long time, and even made it official a little while ago, but decided to have a party to celebrate with their friends and family. Following a touching ceremony, they treated friends to beautiful food and wine from Chefstable, super fun Fortunetellers, my Selfie Station - a lovely time was had by all. . .
I've been looking forward to this wedding all summer long - Laura was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed quite a few years ago now, and she was getting married on Whidbey Island, a spot where I had the pleasure of photographing a friend's wedding a few summers back. There was a lot of smoke coming down from forest fires in Canada, so the usual beautiful weather was replaced with some fog and haze, and an amazing orange sun and bright pink moon - not exactly what Laura had planned for, but really beautiful in its own right. . .
Some days, you work with a bride with the timeless beauty of a 1950's movie star, and you get to the gorgeous wedding venue to find out she's wearing a stunning tiered lace wedding gown, and her handsome fiancé and both of their lovely families are incredibly easy-going and fun, and all of their flowers and signs and details are picture-perfect, and everything goes off without a hitch. As a wedding photographer, those are really good days. . .
Such a fun wedding in the heart of downtown Portland! Hannah and Jeremy and their two beautiful girls made it even more official this summer and celebrated at First Presbyterian Church with their lovely friends and family. It was a pleasure to work again with my friend Maureen Haley, their wedding officiant, as well as Katelyn at Your Perfect Bridesmaid (we've seen a lot of each other this summer!). . .
I love a big New York family on a wedding day - it reminds me of home. So I had an absolute blast photographing Bethany and Parker's beautiful Rock Creek Country Club wedding with their big families and lovely friends. I had been looking forward to their wedding ever since their gorgeous Cathedral Park engagement session last fall, and they were just as cute as I remembered them.
What a gorgeous wedding! This amazing couple and their friends and family really knew how to have a great party - the music, the dancing, the Old Fashioneds, the sharp wardrobes. Such a photographer's delight. Add to that the beautiful, heartfelt ceremony and it really was a perfect wedding day. I'm so glad to be the one to capture it!
This Crag Rat Hut wedding was incredibly personal and amazingly beautiful. Even just editing the ceremony photos, weeks after the lovely event, made me tear up all over again - there were so many beautiful, memorable moments over the course of a gorgeous day. From the brides' excitement during their first look, to the prayer sang in three part harmony by the whole group and the brides tearing up during their ceremony, to the dinner made with the help of friends and family - everything was unique to this amazing couple . . .
